The Union Grille is one of Montana’s best restaurants featuring a farm to table menu serving the finest and freshest food from local producers ranging from trout to tenderloin.

Enjoy a relaxing dinner in a historic riverside western atmosphere enhanced by an innovative menu, professional courteous service, and a wide selection of fine wine and craft beers.

Seasonal outdoor dining is offered within a stone’s throw of the river, or enjoy dinner in our saloon while sampling some of Montana’s finest microbrews. Private rooms are available for dinner meetings and large groups are welcome. Please call and work with our event coordinator. Reservations are highly recommended and we accept all major credit cards.

The Union Grille is open from 5pm to 9pm Wednesday through Monday during June through August, (Closed on Tuesdays). During September through May the Union Grille is open from 5pm to 9pm Wednesday through Sunday, (Closed Mondays and Tuesdays).

MEET OUR CHEF

The Union Grille is excited to welcome Chef Benjamin Thorpe back to our team.  He was with us 7 years ago and has recently returned with his wife Brenda and their four children.  While he was away his professional journey has taken him to Washington DC, Oregon, Florida and Santa Fe.

Raised in a well traveled family he was exposed early on to the flavors of many international cuisines, as his mother and father sought to recreate the dishes they had enjoyed while living and traveling in southeast Asia and beyond.

These experiences have greatly shaped his culinary focus which seeks to incorporate techniques and flavors from  international cuisine while maintaining close connection to local and regional suppliers to provide peak seasonal ingredients. As a chef he has worked across the industry from coast to coast.

Chef Benjamin has returned with an expanded culinary awareness and fresh approach to Montana Regional Cuisine.

The Union Grille and Chef Benjamin share the same philosophy on food which is to harvest ingredients at the peak of availability for the best flavors and best nutritional offering.  We believe that season and ingredients dictate what we do with them.
